Risk of Rain 2 Acrid ：Unleash the Beast

Risk of Rain 2 is an incredibly engaging shooter game that starts players off with the Commando
character. However, to unlock other characters, specific conditions must be met. One of the most exciting characters to unlock and play is Acrid. Known for his use of poison and toxins to inflict status effects on enemies, Acrid is both a melee and ranged attacker. He can strike nearby foes with his claws while leaving a trail of poison on the ground to damage any enemies caught in it.
To unlock Acrid, follow these steps:
1.Enter the Blue Portal: Access the Blue Portal and enter the Lunar Shop.
2.Jump Off the Cliff: From the Lunar Shop, jump off the cliff into a hole.
3.Enter the Null Portal: This will lead you to a hidden map called Void Fields.
4.Activate Nine Cells: In Void Fields, activate nine cells (purple barriers). Achieving this will unlock the Acrid character.
Note: After activating a cell, you must quickly move to the next one as staying outside the barrier for too long will result in instant death.
1.Festering Wounds:
- Description: Strike enemies dealing 120% damage. Targets are poisoned, taking 24% damage per second.
2.Neurotoxin:
- Description: Spit toxic bile, dealing 220% damage and stunning enemies in a line for 1 second.
3.Caustic Sludge:
- Description: Secrete toxic sludge for 2 seconds. It speeds up allies, slows enemies, and deals 90% damage.
4.Epidemic:
- Description: Release a deadly disease that poisons enemies, dealing 100% damage per second. After 1 second, the plague spreads to two additional targets.
5.Corrosive Wounds:
- Description: Strike enemies dealing 80% damage. Targets are corroded, taking 10% extra damage from all sources.
6.Toxic Bubble:
- Description: Spit a toxic bubble that deals 60% continuous damage and slows enemies. After 5 seconds, it explodes, dealing 600% damage.
7.Ambush Breaker:
- Description: Spit a toxic liquid to form a puddle that slows enemies and deals 100% damage. Using it a second time dissolves the puddle into acid and teleports you to it, dealing 400% damage.
White Items:
- Must-Have: Armor-Piercing Rounds. Poison damage is a status effect, and Armor-Piercing Rounds are one of the few items that can trigger it.
- Defensive Items: Tougher Times (Bear), Repulsion Armor Plate, Shield Generator.
- Healing and Mobility: Leeching Seed, Energy Drink, Gasoline for additional damage.
Green Items:
- Must-Have: Ukulele. This item is incredibly powerful, providing AoE damage.
- Other Options: Guillotine, Personal Shield Generator, Fuel Cell. For active play, consider Chronobauble, Death Mark, etc.
Red Items:
- Top Picks: Ceremonial Dagger and Resonance Disc. Both can quickly create chain-reaction explosions, making them excellent for finishing off low-health enemies.
Acrid lacks mobility and jump boosts, making speed and positioning crucial. His poison skills are core to his playstyle, causing percentage-based bleeding while attracting enemy aggro. In multiplayer, use Acrid’s long-distance leap (Shift) and poison abilities (R) to buy time for your teammates to deal damage.
Acrid’s primary attack deals damage three times, which can restore some health, making it useful for early-game recovery.
