Locating the Adamantine Forge

Step 1: Reach the Underdark Beach Waypoint
Start by heading west to the Underdark Beach waypoint. If you’ve already explored the Underdark, you might have completed some of the quests in this area.

Step 2: Navigate to Grymforge
The Adamantine Forge is located in the southern part of Grymforge, an area occupied by the Duergar. You can reach Grymforge by finding the Duergar’s boat in the Underdark. However, the Duergar won’t be able to help you find the forge itself.

Step 3: Follow the Path to the Forge

  • From the Dock: Start from the dock and head up the stairs. Move north until you reach the area where the Rothe are pushing down a wall. You can either let them break the wall or use your own strength to do it.
  • Through the Hole: Pass through the hole and go up the stairs. Follow the path around until you find a long metal walkway through the Duergar camp.
  • Across the Walkway: Walk to the end of the walkway and jump onto the adjacent floating platform.
  • Activate the Lever: Use a bow or crossbow to shoot the lever to the east, causing the platform to take you across the gap to the next walkway.
  • Reach the Ancient Forge: Follow the path and jump to the ground at the end. You’ll be near the “Ancient Forge” fast travel waypoint. From here, head down the southern stairs to see the forge.

Using the Adamantine Forge

The Adamantine Forge is a complex device that requires Mithral Ore and a Mould to craft any weapon or armor you desire. There are six moulds in “Baldur’s Gate 3,” each corresponding to different weapons and armor: Longsword Mould, Mace Mould, Scale Mail Mould, Scimitar Mould, Shield Mould, and Splint Mould.

Finding Mithral Ore

There are two Mithral Ore locations in the game:

First Mithral Ore Location:
From the path leading to the forge, turn left and jump over the lava. You’ll be attacked by some Lava Elementals, but once you defeat them, you’ll find a glowing blue ore vein. Use any bludgeoning weapon to break it and collect the Mithral Ore.

Second Mithral Ore Location:
From the Ancient Forge waypoint, head southwest past the animated armors to the lava pool. There is a safe path through the lava leading to another blue-glowing ore vein. Walk over and smash it with a bludgeoning weapon to get the Mithral Ore.

Crafting with the Adamantine Forge

Since there are only two Mithral Ores available, you can only use the Adamantine Forge twice in the entire game, despite having six different moulds. Here’s the crafting process:

1.Place the Mould and Mithral Ore: Insert the mould and Mithral Ore in the center of the forge.

2.Operate the Wheel: Turn the wheel to pour in the lava.

3.Pull the Lever: Pull the forge lever to craft your equipment.
