CS2 Update: Dust 2 Players and Left-Right Handers Rejoice!

April 26, 2024 7:58 am

The long-awaited left and right hand functionality has finally made a comeback in the latest CS2 update, much to the delight of veteran players.

CS2 has also received a significant overhaul, and I’ll be guiding you through the specifics of this update every step of the way.”

1.Left-Right Hand Switching Introduced

In this update, players can now press the “H” key to switch between holding their weapon in the left or right hand. However, this switch will trigger a gun pull-back animation, similar to switching weapons. It remains to be seen if future updates will allow for a more seamless left-right hand transition, like in CSGO.

2.Changes to Zeus, CZ75-Auto, and XM1014 Kill Rewards

The remuneration for eliminating an opponent using the Zeus has been notably enhanced, with the reward jumping from a non-existent sum to a generous $100 (in Casual mode, this is slightly less at $50). This considerable augmentation in the financial incentive is likely to make the Zeus a more attractive proposition for gamers, encouraging them to adopt a more daring approach when wielding this particular firearm.

Furthermore, the financial gain from dispatching foes with the CZ75-Auto has been amplified, with the reward soaring from a previous $100 to an enticing $300 (in Casual mode, this is adjusted to $150). Such a significant elevation in the monetary reward could serve as a strong motivator for players to incorporate this compact sidearm into their arsenal more often, as the enhanced economic advantages become a compelling consideration.

3.”Dropped Weapons” Panel Added

Now, before the game starts, players can access the “Dropped Weapons” panel to quickly select weapons dropped by teammates, no matter how far away they are.

“In this update, the clarity of item spotting has been enhanced, ensuring you won’t lose your way in the smoke. Different items will have varying spotting durations, which can be adjusted in the game settings to help you place your items more effectively.

CS2 Update

Our minimap on the left maintains a global view, allowing you to see the overall situation. If you’re in a smoky area and can’t locate your team’s position, simply press the designated key, and your minimap will transform into an enlarged map to guide you through the fog, enabling you to find effective kills.
