To restore order, Princess Zelda must team up with the mysterious fairy, Teri, and the genius inventor, Dampe, to harness the power of Teri’s staff to create replicas or “echoes” of various objects. These echoes are crucial for solving puzzles and battling enemies. For example, players can use the echo of a water cube to reach new heights, build bridges with old beds, or throw stones at opponents. They can even create monster echoes to fight alongside them.
As Princess Zelda travels across Hyrule, she encounters the enigmatic inventor Dampe and saves him from a raven attack. Besides his swordsman skills and magical echoes, Dampe unlocks a new combat style for the princess: mechanical automatons. Dampe’s automatons are powerful devices capable of defeating monsters in unique ways, generating rupees, and even gliding through the air. Following the storyline of Gerudo Sanctum and Jabul Waters, players must rescue the king from the fissures in Hyrule Castle. Afterward, Dampe can be found above Hyrule Ranch. To continue the quest, Dampe requires you to find “a creature with big eyes that keeps jumping around.” You know what it is: the pesky Blinestone! You can find them in Hyrule Field and Zora River. He also wants “something that spews hot smoke from its back and charges forward.” This is the Mothula you find in Gerudo Sanctum. Once you have both, summon them to the silver plate in Dampe’s workshop. He then unveils his latest creation: Techtite. Even better, he gives it to you! You also receive a wind-up key, which is essential for activating the automatons.

- Heirloom Katana + Sword Moblin = Robomoblin: Complete the Slumber Dojo challenge and collect from Hyrule Field.
- Steel Trap + Deku Baba Lv 2 = Gotekubaba: Collect acorns from west of Kakariko Village within 40 seconds and gather from the wetlands.
- Golden Fan + Raven = Goldfinch: Complete the Tough Mango challenge at the Gerudo Research Lab and collect from Hyrule Field.
